*****
In this church I vowed to love you forever,
to forsake all others, to be there in good times and in bad.
I tried to be the perfect woman that you wanted me to be.
It was a lot of hard work, because I was not perfect.
Like a juggler I tried to keep all the balls in the air.
Work. Marriage. Child. House. Animals.
I, however, aimed too high. The balls started to drop.
I couldn’t hold them in the air anymore. I was not perfect.
And you? You, who promised, here in this church,
to be in there in bad times and in good,
you just turned around and found someone else.
Now, I’m alone. It doesn’t matter though.
For I no longer need to be perfect.
I have learned that, after all, I’m only human.
